Hi everyone! For the first time ever, I've decided to start
uploading videos onto RapidShare. I need some help, please. (I
searched this group's messages in case it's already been answered but
didn't find anything. I also searched Files and found how to create
a RS folder but not how to just do a basic upload. If my questions
have already been answered, please give me message #).
Okay...I want to post a vid into a Yahoo video-sharing group. But
first I have to upload the vid onto RS.com. So I sign into RS.com,
then click Browse (to find the movie on my computer) then click
Upload!NoSSL (whatever that means). I assume RS then uploads the vid
and gives me an address link that I can post in a group? Also, how
do I add a link for screen-cap photos? And will RS tell me how many
Mb the video is and how many minutes long...or should I add this
information myself?
Is it about as fast to UPLOAD a vid onto RS as it is to download a
vid from RS, or is it longer/faster? Will I get Premium Points for
each vid I upload? And how are points determined (do I get more
points for vids that have more Mb...or for vids that have a longer
playing time? For example, will I get more points for a 25-minute
350Mb video than a 3-minute 75Mb video)? Or do I get no points at
all just for uploading a vid (only get a point if someone decides to
download my vid)???
Here is a good example of what I would like my post to look like (I
just randomly copied a link from a video-sharing group). It lists
the title and format, playing time, and size....then provides a link
for both the video and the preview screen-caps (to see if you want to
bother downloading the vid or not):
Cameron.wmv (16:59, 185Mb)

Preview Screen-caps:

As you can tell, I'm a beginner at this and am trying hard to figure
this all out. My goal is twofold: to share with everyone the vids
that I've collected (a way of giving back to the community for all
that you've given me!)...and to also extend my RS account using
Premium Points. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP EVERYONE!!!!

PLEASE visit the group online and CHECK THE FILES SECTION
because there's probably a document there that will answer
your question. ALSO, do a SEARCH IN and READ THROUGH the
EXISTING MESSAGE ARCHIVES, because it's very probable that
your question has already been asked and answered there.
We don't like to answer the same questions over and over
again, and posting a question should be the LAST STEP in
your attempts to find answers, NOT THE FIRST STEP!
(1) Look through the FILES SECTION
(2) Search & Read the MESSAGE ARCHIVES
If you really can't find an answer, THEN (3) post your
question... OK?
